These volunteers make a two-year commitment in an underdeveloped part of the world.

AmeriCorps/VISTA
Often known as the United States' domestic equivalent of the Peace Corps.

American Cancer Society

Ombudsman Volunteer
These "ombudspeople" respond to complaints on behalf of residents in long-term care facilities like nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

AARP
A great source for a variety of programs, services, and advocacy programs that help older Americans.

SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives)
